Muston Down from Anderson - 14 Turbines will be visible in this picture!

Muston Down Wind Power Station

On March 10th Morden Estates Co., in the Lower Winterbourne Valley announced that they are withdrawing from the National Wind Power scheme to build 23 giant 333 feet high turbines. This scheme was 1 of 2 to erect a total of 32 turbines in the valley and subject to Company confirmation will probably not now proceed.

This proposed development of 23 Wind Turbines of 101.5M (333 feet) by "National Wind Power Ltd" on and around Muston Down in Dorset never reached the planning application stage.

National Wind Power, is a subsidiary of one of the biggest generation companies worldwide, the German RWE Nukem GmbH, which is also involved in the nuclear generation of electricity.

The map on our 'Graphics' page still shows the proposed locations of the wind turbines for this development, which are marked with a red circle.

The above picture is Muston Down viewed from Anderson, and at least 13 of the 23 NWP Wind Turbines would have been visible from here (and 1 or 2 of the "Your Energy" wind turbines as well).
