Abstract art is an artistic genre in which the appearance of objects in the real world is of no importance and the only importance is the effect of the appearance on the viewer. Many people confuse abstract art with abstract painting.

Abstract art is merely a kind of artwork, created in such a manner, so as to leave a strong impact on the viewer. While abstract art is completely different from abstract painting, both are related. However, they are entirely different from each other, and the appreciation of both of them is quite different as well.
